My win is I started an En Plein Air painting/drawing/pastel/watercolor group and we just had our second meet-up! I can’t believe how many people came today and I can tell that people who walk by are curious and I love that we’re showing community within community.

Reading physical books is also a personal win for me! And going out to hang with friends, being more social, even getting back into the dating scene!

My personal win is that I revisited the Mineatures at the Chicago Art Institute after 40 years away. They were delightful as I recalled. The class message was more clear to me than bank in my 20s (who was cleaning those French 1400s spaces and rooms in MD or VA from the 1850s?) but also the power of books. The library with the most books shown as a Mineature had a fraction of the books I've read in my life. A joy to see all this and a reminder of the liberatory power of learning.

So good! My personal win is that I finally met up IRL with some online book club members. We went shopping at an independent book store and bought frequently banned books to add to Free Little Libraries in our neighborhoods!
