Regarding Kent State, I saw a comment on Instagram from a retired reservist who said he watched the video of Renee's death, saw how completely unprofessional was the ICE behavior, and thought how he and his cohort had been required to study Kent State in detail to avoid any such thing occuring.
I keep seeing that the Trump people are calling her a domestic terrorist. The only response I have to that is that, yes, domestic terrorism was involved—ICE are domestic terrorists.
Tragic and outrageous, but there are so many others: Breonna Taylor, Eric Garner, George Floyd, and on and on. No, those weren't federal crimes but they're the same thing. Let's remember all of them.
You're right, yes. But this woman was white. If she'd been brown or black would people be so upset? (This is not a criticism of you. I know you would be.)
Based on reporting from Ben Meiselas of MeidasTouchNetwork, we now know that Renee Good was driving home after dropping off her six year old son at school. She encountered ICE blocking the street. An agent yelled at her to leave. As Renee turned her car to do so, another agent murdered her. It is horrible, shocking, and tragic - but not surprising. ICE has been heading in this direction for a year. The question now, is whether this murder will provoke many more Americans to protest the evils being inflicted on us.

I mean, yes, but the federal aspect of it is the part that makes this different I’m not saying it makes it worse, but it does make it different.

Kent State came to mind for me, as well.
