Three Wins Today: Sept 17, 2025
We are the leaders!
We must be our own leaders. I’m so beyond tired of people just sitting on their hands posting on social media “where are our Dem leaders???” “We’re gonna lose if we don’t have a leader!” “Why won’t a leader emerge?”
Three things.
First, think of this realistically. The purity test is so extreme that if there were a so-called leader, how quickly would they be canceled? How quickly would the people screaming for a leader realize they didn’t agree with this person 100% of the time and therefore they were the wrong person?
Second. Let’s look at Bernie or AOC. If they do something it’s perfect and flawless in many people’s eyes. If anyone else does the exact same thing, it’s not good enough, and oftentimes worthy of being primaried. This is already a problem without a set “leader.” We want more electeds to use their voices, not less. Just because the leader would say something, we don’t want to silence those who don’t agree. That’s the opposite of Democracy.
Finally, and this is the most important part.
WE ARE THE LEADERS!
Every single one of you has a voice, and you chose how to use it. Commenting “DO SOMETHING” is not leading. It’s lazy (and I don’t use that word lightly.)
If you look back on the leaders of movements, they weren’t politicans. They may have become politicans later, but that’s only because of the movement they already created.
They were everyday people who wanted to create change and were willing to do anything to make it happen.
And a lot of those movements already exist. The leader you’re looking for is probably already doing the work at a small org that doesn’t get that much attention.
And if not, if there is really no one doing what you think needs to be done, figure out how much you can do, what your limit is, and DO IT.
Do you think I waited for someone to tell me to do this work? Most people fought back against my message, and still do. I mean I’m praising and celebrating and promoting a group of people that the vast majority on those online think are rag dolls. I just started leading. I saw a need and I filled it.
I’m disabled. I’m not marching or doing in person speaking engagements, I’m not running for office or working for someone who is. I found what I could do, with my abilities, and I just did it.
You want a leader to tell you what to do? YOU are that leader. YOU get to decide how you can best resist and fight back and help others do the same. It won’t be instantaneous. I’d been on social media for over FIVE years before I figured out my brand. But if all you’re doing is screaming that other people should be telling you what to do and how to resist. You’re not just not helping, you’re actively hurting our ability to save Democracy.
No idea is too small, just find something doable. Something Tikkun Olam, something you can do to repair the world.
And I can’t wait to see what you come up with, I’m sure it will be amazing!

Oklahoma
Mon, Sept 15 - Superintendent, Ryan Walters demanded that all schools have a moment of silence for CK on Tuesday. Norman Public School superintendent, Nick Migliorino, refused. He said, in a letter he sent to parents:
NPS will continue to observe this daily minute of silence at the regular time, and our schools will operate as usual. This practice is carried out in a way that is respectful to all, honoring a wide range of beliefs, customs, and religious viewpoints.
Basically, just like they don’t force students who aren’t Christian to follow Christian prayer, they’re not gonna force those who think CK is a piece of shit to sit through a moment of silence for him. He definitely said it nicer, but that’s the general gist, and yes, I feel pretty confident saying that, as he’s been extremely outspoken over certain changes Superintendent Walters is making.
Also worth noting, as he said, there is literally a moment of silence already in the day, so on top of being ridiculous this is also poorly thought out and disruptive.
And Norman isn’t the only school district that made this decision. Just the only one I can find an article about. Other districts that refused include: Oklahoma City Public Schools, Mustang Public Schools, Edmond Public Schools, and Deer Creek School District.
In Oklahoma this decision is brave. Ryan Walters is horrible and retaliatory.
Mexico
Mon, Sept 15 - President Claudia Sheinbaum was the first woman in Mexican history to lead the “Grito De Delores” (Cry of Independence). It is a battle cry that was first uttered at the beginning of the Mexican war of Independence from Spain in 1810. and is uttered on Sept 15, the eve of Mexican Independence Day every year by the Mexican president.
No one knows what the original cry was, for sure, but it always starts the same. However, as far as i can tell, much of President Sheinbaum’s cry was unique to her

RIGHT NOW - Trump is in England, he just met with the King. And Channel 4 is making the most of it. From 9pm until 3am they are airing wall to wall Trump.
It starts with a new episode of The Donald Trump Show:
The unique series uses news footage from TV, podcasts and social media to tell the story of the last nine months of the presidency as an unfolding soap opera.
Then there will be five hours titled “Trump v The Truth” where they will run through every single lie he’s told since January, and it is five hours, so, that might actually be doable.
Finally, there will be Trump impersonators doing bumpers the entire night.

Donald J Trump loves making history. So, on Wednesday Channel 4 will do just that: we’ll show what we believe to be the longest uninterrupted reel of untruths, falsehoods and distortions ever broadcast on television. We hope it will remind viewers how disorientating and dangerous the world becomes when the most powerful man on earth shows little regard for the truth. And if President Trump cares to watch along after the state banquet, he may even clear up a few misconceptions.
Given that four men were arrested at Windsor castle for hanging the largest photo of Trump and Epstein on the outside castle wall this morning, it’s incredibly brave for Channel 4 to do this. This is the kind of bravery we need to see, not just in the US, but around the world too.
