I don't always read your posts about Daily Dems doing the work, but I do read these wins every night. Like a vitamin. And re: your intro: someone on Bluesky today related an exchange with a friend who had never seen the Charlie Kirk quotes that we all know so well as racist, misogynist, antisemitic and all of his other garbage, and the poster had never seen the Charlie Kirk quotes that sound perfectly reasonable, sane, kind, loving. Both were shocked. But it was a reminder that the algorithms and media have really sorted us into different realities.
The first part of your piece echoes what was on my mind today. I see so much of a FAFO sentiment on social media, and it needs to stop if people want Democrats to regain power. It's ineffective. The snark is not winning anyone over. We, as a society, must all take personal responsibility for what we say and how we speak in the public sphere, especially on social media, which is naturally divisive and rage-fueled.
Also on the theme of messaging, pointing to what the Republicans are doing wrong - and stopping there - isn't winning us any political races. We must be FOR something. People need to understand what the Democratic party is going to do for them. What do we believe in? What do we fight for? How will we make your life better, when you're struggling to just make it through the week? Yes, we're fighting the agenda of this White House, but why? Because we are fighting *for* X, Y and Z.
I really appreciate your focus on daily wins. We need that! Keep up the amazing work!
You are so right that not everyone is able to closely follow the news. For most of those of us who do, I think it was obvious who Trump is, and no surprise how he has behaved as President. But I keep remembering the time I was canvassing, and the man who answered the door said he had six kids and a full time job and was recently widowed and just didn’t have time to go vote. Much less, obviously, to figure out who the candidates were and what they stood for.

Hats off to each and every hero including you Ariella!
I went to bluesky looking for these posts (the Dem wins) and couldn’t find them. Am I missing seeing them? I wanted to amplify.
Thank you Ariella! These always keep me inspired to keep working.
