Three Wins Today: June 3, 2025
I really hope you’re taking time to find wins, they are so important to keep track of. If we think the world is ending, it’s a lot harder to do the work needed to fight to save it.
So here are just three of today’s wins, don’t worry, there are many many many more, but, this series is about only three after all.
Mon June 2 - UnityPoint Health – Meriter nurses, a union with SEIU, were on strike for five days, and they have officially ratified their new contract. The nurses will get an 8% wage increase over the next two years and be more involved in staffing decisions. They will also have clearer guidance for emergencies. You can watch the full press conference after the deal was reached here
Sun June 1 - Shepardstown West Virginia hosted their first PRIDE parade! The entire town got involved, many businesses wanted to visibly support it, it’s everything we want to see from a famously red state. And for it to first happen this year of all years is such a big win.
Mon June 2 - Thanks to the hard work of North Carolina voting rights groups, a bill that would have criminalized voter registration drives has been shelved, for now. This is our power. When I say “our voices are our superpower” THIS is what I mean.
Every single one of today’s stories is proof of our power. If you want something to change, do what you can to change it, get together a group to make a plan, and just do it.
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!

Beautiful!
I wish that everyone who viewed the videos you find for us would Like them. Let's bring them forward!
Good work, Ms. Elm. Good message.
