Three Wins Today, July 15, 2025
It’s late, why is it late? Oh you know, just because I interviewed Malcolm Kenyatta today and editing look a while. I have so much faith and hope after doing this interview, especially in our DNC. I hope you take the time to watch it, cause it is, without a doubt, the best interview I’ve done to date.
That was part of Daily Dems but I have to share it as many times as possible, you understand, right?
Here’s three wins!
Today (SPONSORED) - Yes, you read that right, I’m getting asked to post wins now. Very exciting. Ryan Powers is a lawyer who was working at Davis Polk until they fired him for not bowing down to DT. He wrote all about it on his Substack.
My favorite quote is:
We don’t ask doctors to stay silent during a public health crisis, or airline pilots to ignore obvious signs of technical failure. Why should lawyers, of any kind, be expected to say nothing when the legal system itself is under attack?

Today - Georgia had their Public Service Commisioner Dem primary runoff for District 3, but it’s statewide. Peter Hubbard beat Keisha Waites who is accused of being…well, corrupt might not be a strong enough word.
And don’t just believe me, former Commissioner Patty Durand had a whole IG post about her corruption. It’s a carousel, and each photo is worse than the last.
Today - Adelita Grijalva will be the Dem nominee for AZ-07. I know a lot of people really wanted Deja Foxx, but you just have to read about Grijalva’s life in public service to get excited. Christina Marikos wrote an op-ed in the Arizona Daily Star breaking down why the accusations against Grijalva are unfounded.
You know how excited local government makes me, so this is probably my favorite part of the op-ed:
Adelita has never treated public service as a steppingstone. In 2002, she became the youngest woman ever elected to the Tucson Unified School District Governing Board. She went on to serve for 20 years, attending nearly every meeting during that time. She only ever missed three, and each time it was to give birth to one of her three children.
If you’re disappointed that she won, or god forbid, are calling her a nepo baby or saying she’s part of the establishment, I highly suggest you read this article.
It’s Tuesday, you had to know that two election wins were coming. I hope they brought you joy and reminds you that we always have wins, every single day.
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!

Adelita Grijalva will be great! Let’s go!
Love that Peter Hubbard won in Georgia. It was really demoralizing to see Daniel Blackman have to come off the ballot during to residency issues but this has lifted my spirits
