Three Wins Today: Dec 8, 2025
Wins can be as simple as making one other person see humanity
Anyone who says “the election was rigged,” needs to stop. There are so many reasons, but let’s start with the logic one:
Elections are run at the county level. Every county does things differently. For instance, in Los Angeles, Prop 50 was actually called State Measure 50 on the ballot, but in a different county, I don’t remember which I heard about, it was called Prop 50.
They do this on purpose, so that it’s near impossible to rig an election at the ballot box.
Even within a county, sometimes they put things in different orders on various ballots.
To say that “the election is rigged” is an insult to the poll workers and the incredibly hard tireless and unappreciated work they do to to make sure every ballot is counted fairly.
Now onto the more pressing aspect, let’s talk about Aftyn Behn.
We are not going to win every election. Let me say that again, it is impossible that we win every single race we compete in.
We have been overperforming by an average of 15 points in almost every election across the country since March.
But that also means we’re going to overperform by a bit less in some places and a bit more in overs, this is an average.
12 points is an INCREDIBLE overperformance. But we didn’t win, and we were probably never going to.
It is so dangerous to keep acting like stinky babies anytime we lose an election. How exactly does that set us apart from the Republicans?
If we were talking about 2 points or less, maybe you’d have a point, but a 9 point margin is a 9 point margin, and that’s not small, no matter how few votes we’re talking about. It’s 15k votes in a small portion of one state, not 15k votes in a whole state or the entire country. A number that sounds small in a Presidential Gubernatorial or Senatorial election, is very big in a race for the House.
They WANT us to question elections. They WANT us to be where they are. That gives them the ability to start floating privatizing that too. We see this with everything, first they break it, then they say it’s bad then they privatize it.
Stop giving them the ammo. They do not run elections, the counties do. Poll workers do.
And maybe focus on where elections are actually at risk.
The reasons we did lose in 2024: the lawsuits, the voter suppression, and most importantly, the disenfranchisement, which btw, your assertion that an election we lost by 9 points was stolen, is also a form of.
Think before you put something on social media, PLEASE!
McMinnville, Oregon
Mon, Nov 24 - A high school senior at McMinnville High School, Christian Jimenez, was abducted by ICE during his off campus lunch earlier in November. So, on two weeks ago, 300 kids from the high school walked out.
One of the students who joined the walkout told KGW News:
There are at least people who who care about me, care about us, like the immigrants and like the legal citizens.
And that’s really the point, at the end of the day. Will these walkouts change how the Admin handles immigration? Absolutely not, but it does show these immigrants that we have their back and we’re not giving up. And that holds such power in and of itself.
Pennsylvania
Tues, Nov 25 - Governor Josh Shapiro has signed the Crown Act into law. This makes it illegal to discriminate anyone for their hair. All too often a Black woman will be passed over for a job because she doesn’t “look the part.” That kind of discrimination isn’t allowed in PA anymore. Whether she has an afro or bantu knots, or locs, just to name a few, her hair cannot determine whether she gets the job or promotion or not.
PA is the 28th state to pass this law.
House Speaker, Johanna McClinton said:
This is going to help people by making sure that, wherever you work, or wherever you’re applying for a job, they can’t look at your hair and size you up—not based on your qualifications and all of the professional development you have and all of your education. They will not look at your hair and decide you can’t work here. They will not look at your hair and decide you don’t belong in this C-suite. They will not look at your hair and say, ‘you can’t be in the boardroom.’
Bravo PA! Can’t wait to see what state is the 29th! They may be reversing progress at the national level, but, in many states, at the state level, there’s more progress made every single day, and we can’t forget that.
Israel
Fri, Nov 28 - Standing Together, a group of Palestinian/Israeli peace activists held their 10th annual convention. It was filled with Palestinians and Israelis who just want this to end, and to bring about a generation of peace, freedom and equality.
But don’t think they’re all talk, they put in the work. They put their bodies on the line daily.
They wrote in their Instagram post:
Because at a time when the government is choosing endless bloodshed, fear, and destruction — we’re choosing partnership, justice, and peace. We’re choosing to build a future of freedom, equality, and safety for all of us.
It continues:
We know that no one is coming to save us; no one will hand us the future we envision. If we want to rise from the rubble, we’re going to have to do it ourselves, as a shared struggle of Palestinians and Jews.
Founder Alon-Lee Green said in his speech:
The paths before us have never been clearer: endless war, occupation, and violence across this land, or a just Israeli-Palestinian peace that will allow us all to move forward, together, to a future of safety and independence. This is the choice we must make now.
He continued:
The second path, our path, leads to historic reconciliation, between both people, to a solution. yes, to an Israeli-Palestinian peace. A reality of a just peace equality freedom and security for everyone who lives here, Jews and Palestinians.
I know that’s a lot of quotes, but I couldn’t choose just one, they’re all so powerful. This is the kind of action it’s going to take to make the land safe and secure FOR ALL. Standing Together is one of many organizations putting in the work. And I do believe, with all my heart that one day they will succeed. I’m so happy to see this year’s convention was so successful.
So I hope these wins help make your day better.
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!

In the countries that resisted the 20th century Nazis’ attacks on Jews, more Jews survived. Even if we can’t save everyone, every anti-ICE action makes a difference to many people they hurt.
