This weekend’s events were never intended to be bigger than the ones on April 5, for multiple reasons. They were intended to maintain and build momentum, which certainly happened. Lots of people went to both. Plenty went to one or the other, or went to a protest on the 5th and did something else constructive on the 19th.
We went to both. April 5 in DC, and one in Annapolis on April 19. We expected the one this past Saturday to have about 50ish people. But there were maybe 800-1000 people lining a busy street in town on both sides of the street. Very energetic. Lots of honks. And maybe about 3-4 cars flipping us off. You know you’re winning when a MAGA car flips you off.
Thanks for sharing these wins, Ariella.
A big one for your list tomorrow.

I was impressed that the protests on 4/19 were as big as they were especially since it was Easter weekend and a lot of folks were traveling.
Agree Joan. They maintained momentum. We went on the 5th and will go on May 1.
