Let Trump Fall On His Face
When posting about SOTU...
Tonight is about Trump.
Tonight is about giving him the ability to crash out in full view of mainstream America.
State of the Union addresses permeate through the political pundits and content creators , they’re seen and digested by more people than most other government activity.
Republicans are going to hopefully be scrambling to change the narrative. To control what people think of the drivel coming out of the President.
One way they will try to do that, as they always do, is by shitting on Dems.
WE CANNOT HELP THEM!
Different Dems have different reasons for how they are handling tonight. Some, more than you probably expect, aren’t attending at all. Some of those are letting their guest go in their place.
Some are attending and bringing incredible guests who they are celebrating on social media and you should be too.
Most Dems are not treating this as business as usual. And yet, I am already seeing most posts be about how this isn’t a unified message.
Do not make infighting the story.
I’m gonna be watching one of the many pieces of counter programing (haven’t decided which yet.) If you want to praise what Democrats are saying throughout the night, that’s one thing, but don’t make the story about how Democrats are choosing to spend their night.
IT DOES NOT MATTER!
We want the everyday Americans, who don’t consume news, to see what we’ve been saying with their own eyes.
We want to amplify those clips as much as possible, so more people can see them.
We want to show the counter messaging from our incredible Dems and give them the spotlight — we’re not just not Trump, we’re better. We’re doing good work, and you want to support us because you believe in what we’re doing.
These two concepts go hand in hand. Look at how stupid he is, AND look at what we want to do instead.
So today, don’t keep posting about who is or isn’t attending.
Post about their guests.
Post about their fight.
Post quotes and clips.
And let Trump fall on his ass for all the world to see, don’t give a distraction that helps him or any of the Republicans get back up.
