I titled it July 15, cause there are multiple elections this week, but they’re all on Tuesday.

I promise, I’m going to get better about getting this out earlier than the night before. It’s a work in progress. Also, if you want to help make it easier, I could always use more volunteers.

AZ-07 US Congress Dem Primary

Deja Foxx (Primary issues/goals: Housing as a human right, economic justice and fair wages, childcare/early childhood education, protecting social security, curb executive overreach, LGBTQ+ rights, protect veterans services, block unfair and unjust policies, foreign policy based on empathy and international law, protect social services, defend school funding, support students with disabilities, student loan reforms, medicare for all, access to reproductive healthcare, end unfair tax loopholes for large companies, invest in the economy, lower taxes, environmental justice, investment in clean energy, regulating high polluting businesses, hold ICE accountable, pass the EMBRACE act, create pathways to citizenship, repeal Citizens United and pass the No Corruption in Government Act, enact the Fair Representation Act, codify the RESPECT act to protect the sovereignty of tribal nations, pass the Water Resources Development Act).

At this time in our nation, we can't negotiate with a party of extremists, and you need people who are going to stand up for something. I'm going to stand up for Southern Arizona.").

Patrick Harris Sr. (Primary issues/goals: Cap the Cap plan which aims to make individuals who have over $1 billion in wealth either reinvest or face a 100% on any amount after the first billion. Job opportunities/cost of living, healthcare access and affordability, education and youth services, immigration and border security, climate change and environmental issues.).

Daniel Hernandez Jr. (Primary issues/goals: hold DOGE accountable, combat climate change through renewable energy and water conservation tech, lower taxes for families and not for billionaires, protect affordable healthcare, invest in public education, defend social security and medicare, gun violence prevention through closing gun show loopholes and instituting red flag laws, defend CHIPS and the Science Act, protect LGBT+ rights, protect medicaid, protect access to reproductive healthcare, pass the PRO act, immigration reform with pathways to citizenship/border control, protect veterans services, pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act to protect voting rights.).

Sheila Bunn (DEMOCRAT – Experience: Chief of Staff to Vincent Gray (council member and mayor) and staffer for Delegate Eleanor Norton, Priorities: Food source opportunities and market rate housing, and make an official pathway to involve youth in policy decisions, DC Statehood, student absenteeism and truancy, build connections throughout all of Ward 8, supporting the policy department through adequate staffing)
