Election Day is Every Tuesday 9/28-10/4
A small, yet fascinating week.
This week is not a big election week at all, mostly because either one or no Democrat is running in various state legislative elections.
So this is more information to understand elections in general. I think there’s a power in seeing with your own eyes that only one Dem or no Dem is running.
It’s heartbreaking, quite frankly.

Jackson County
Recall election: Frank White Jr (yes/no)
Reasons:
Political infighting:
White’s critics, including some county legislators, have accused him of a lack of transparency in negotiations and believe he is now an obstacle to securing a deal to keep both teams in Jackson County.
Relationships with legislators:
Months-long standoff: White has been criticized for poor relations with the County Legislature, which led to a months-long standoff over the 2025 county budget.
Skipped meetings: Critics point to White’s infrequent attendance at county legislature meetings, which they interpret as a sign of disregard. White maintains that his attendance is not mandated by the county charter.
Recall effort details:
The recall petition began with residents in eastern Jackson County and was later supported by the “dark money” group Democracy in Action, which collected about half of the required signatures.
