Creede recall:
Recall is being requested on the claim that the mayor, assisted by the trustee, hired an employee who lived outside of the city limits and approved an increase to water/sewage rates which financially harmed city residents. Citizens have been informed that this recall cannot be challenged by disputing the validity of those claims. Minutes from the relevant meetings indicate that the move to increase the rates was made after consulting with the city attorney as well as multiple other specialists and that the move was unanimously approved by the board along with the mayor to prevent the city from operating in the red and/or having a significant water shortage. Significant evidence has been submitted showing that the recall petition and subsequent election are being conducted illegally - despite this it has been allowed to move forward.
Mayor Jeffrey Larson (Electrical miner)
Board Trustee Lori Dooley (Voted to approve vape disposal sites around the city, voted for city improvements such as street lighting and sewage improvements)
The recall includes automatic replacement based on the write-ins on the illegally conducted recall petition, if the current mayor is recalled he will be replaced by Erica Roden, the trustee would be replaced by Tom Roden, relationship unknown.
