A: You know Doomerella, you’re not gonna find the meaning of life just staring at the ceiling.

A: I get it, but, maybe, you don’t? I mean, I know you have this whole dark vibe about the end of the world going — but I also know you actually do care about what’s going right.

D: The lead crisis?
A: That’s the one.

A: Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08) secured $5m for the Flint Registry, the main project helping those effected by the lead
D: Like federal funding?
A: Like already signed into law. Here, watch what she said.
D: And Trump signed it?
A: Yeah. It was part of the HHS 2026 budget. We’re by no means getting huge wins out of Congress right now, but the little ones count too.
D: Yeah…I had no idea that funding was even needed.
A: I’m pretty sure most people have forgotten that anything happened in Flint at all.
D: Okay, what else you got?

D: So, fight against the detention centers?
A: Yup.
D: Can’t Congress do something to stop them?
A: Please explain to me exactly how the Dems can do that from the minority…

A: A bill to ban all detention centers in the country?
D: Yeah!
A: And would that stop the detention centers that are currently being built now?
D: Well…no
A: exactly. In many ways, we the civilians have more power than them, our Dems in Congress.
D: yeah, alright, what else?
A: Remember Monsanto?
D: That was a huge story years ago, about weeds, right?
A: Yeah.
D: Do I wanna know why this is a story now?
A: Republicans…
D: Well, of course Republicans, what about them?
A: Well, they are trying to slip a section into the farm bill that would stop states and courts from suing pesticide makers when they don’t include a health related warning label.
D: WHAT?
A: Oh it gets worse.
D: HOW?
A: Bayer, which includes Monsanto just settled a lawsuit for $7.25B about how roundup caused cancer
D: AND REPUBLICANS STILL DID THIS? WHAT ABOUT MAHA?

D: Now that’s the language I like to hear!
A: Yeah, she’s someone who isn’t afraid to say exactly what she’s thinking.
D: Think her amendment will be accepted?
A: I think if it’s not, Republicans will look like total hypocrites.
D: When has that ever stopped them?
A: I live in hope.
D: I live in existential fear, but you do you. What else?
A: Greg Casar (TX-35) spoke about Kristi Noem destroying FEMA and what he’s doing about it. Watch!
D: So he and Joe Neguse (CO-02) have a bill?
A: Yeah.
D: sounds like Yassamin Ansari’s (AZ-03) from last week.
A: Yeah, kinda. Dems are doing everything they can to reverse the damage done by the Big Ugly Bill.
