Daily Dems Doing the Work, Making Noise and Fighting Back Day 165
So one of these stories, you’ve heard a lot, but news coverage is not giving credit where credit is due, what a surprise. Can you guess which story I’m talking about?
Repping the Rep: Ami Bera (CA-06)
Stopped by Meals on Wheels in Sacramento to discuss how to make sure the program isn’t affected by the upcoming cuts to SNAP.

Rep Lloyd Doggett (TX-37)
Wrote a letter to NOAA back in May with concerns about the cuts to NOAA and the National Weather Service. On Tuesday he wrote another letter, livid that if his first letter had been answered, some people might still be alive.
Watch his interview with Erin Burnett to learn more about how he believes the loss of life could have beep prevented.

DNC ( )
Daily Blueprint today focused mostly on measles, the cuts to SNAP, as well as NWS and NOAA. It’s a helpful breakdown of what’s going on in each of these sectors.
Rep Scott Peters (CA-50)
Has today’s Democratic Daily Download. It’s all about what the big ugly law does to harm our progress in clean energy and how that harm will not only affect our wallets, but also our lives.

Rep Nikki Budzinski (IL-13)
Held the town hall back in May at East St. Louis High School focused on the funding the administration refused to release the district. Well, the district just got its funds. I know no one’s saying that strongly worded town halls are a bad thing, but it’s very cool to see what the power of one can be
You can watch a news segment about the town hall below.

Nine days ago…
Sen Dick Durbin (IL)
Lead a letter to Bondi, Hegseth and Noem along with the rest of the Senate Judiciary Dems saying that they received accusations about Emile Bove from a whistleblower and were demanding an investigation. Today, after not receiving a response, Durbin released the evidence to the public.

Sen Mark Kelly (AZ)
And former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, posted a video reminding AZ-07 that the primary is next Tuesday and early voting is about to end. Whether you are voting for the same candidate they are, or not, the info in this video is invaluable if this is your district.

And finally…
Rep Veronica Escobar (TX-16)
Was denied entry to the ICE facility on Montana Avenue in El Paso, Texas, so she made a really, really big deal about it and is doing everything in her power to raise the alarms, so we are all paying attention
So I hope this served as your daily reminder that Dems are indeed doing the work!
If you made it to the end of this post, comment with 🎓(graduation cap) because I think it’s so hopeful that the district fought to get their funding back after that town hall, and won!
If you watched or read any of these stories, comment with what you learned and 😗(I thought this was a kiss, but apparently it’s whistling) because Dick Durbin deserves the credit and no one‘s giving it to him.
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!
