posted about the increase from last year of the price of Thanksgiving. I get that this isn’t super flashy, but if you’re someone who cares about and celebrates Thanksgiving and you see that infographic, it might have an impact.

Finally got into the Edward J. Schwartz Federal Building in San Diego where ICE is holding abductees. They have tried three times.
You probably heard about the same thing happening at Broadview ICE facility in Illinois, so, maybe that means this is another TACO. They just couldn’t continue keeping Dems out.

Oversight Dems
held a field hearing in LA about the June immigration raids. They heard from local immigrant groups, some people who were abducted, and folks in the local government. They also announced the launch of a new Immigration Enforcement Dashboard. I don’t have a list of everyone who was there, but I only learned about it from this video of Rep Nanette Barragan (CA-44)
Ranking Member Robert Garcia (CA-42) led the hearing with Jasmine Crockett (TX-30), and many LA area Reps were there as well, like Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37), Jimmy Gomez (CA-34), Mark Takano (CA-39), and Maxine Waters (CA-43)
This hearing will help with their investigation and hopefully lead to some real accountability. I mean, if the rumors are true, and we do get the gavel before the end of this session, anything is possible.

Sen Peter Welch (VT)
is very scared what’s going to happen to low income Vermonters without LIHEAP this winter. LIHEAP is the way that low income families can afford heating, and without it a lot of people will be in trouble, and naturally, the funding was stopped.
I think I posted about this before when I was Repping Chris Pappas (NH-01) back in the spring, when it wasn’t this urgent, now all Northeast electeds are getting nervous.
I think Sen Welch explained what’s a stake really well.
