Repping the Rep: Eleanor Holmes Norton (DC Del)

Though she cannot vote on the House floor, she can vote in committees, which is something I think a lot of people didn’t know.

Yesterday she introduced “Words Matter Act“ with Rep Mark Pocan (WI-02) and Republican Reps, Pete Sessions (TX-17) and Richard Hudson (NC-09)

The bill would would remove the “R word” from the US code. This is the second bill she’s introduced on this subject this session. The first was specific to DC.

Rep Jimmy Gomez (CA-34)

Brought attention to the fact that the budget bill will astronomically raised taxes on those making $30K or less so that they can lower taxes for the ultra wealthy during the Ways and Means Committee markup this week.

If it wasn’t for this video, I wouldn’t have known, so we need to spread this far and wide.

Rep Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-23)

Is the ranking member on the House Appropriations Committee Subcommittee on Veterans Affairs and she gave an incredible opening question to VA Secretary, Doug Collins, asking how exactly they’re using those supposed savings from not having DEI, cause she has no proof they’re using them to help vets at all.
