Offered an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act during the Armed Services Committee markup that would ban nepotism at the Department of Defense, which apparently needs to be spelled out. She also used it as an opportunity to bring up SignalGate.

Sen Jeff Merkley (OR)
Ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee released a statement, after learning that the Congressional Budget Office reports that the TrumpTax law will add $3.4 trillion to the deficit over the next 10 years. He said:
This law is devastating for our national debt and our country’s economic forecast. Congressional Republicans, who call themselves fiscally conservative, rammed a bill through Congress on a partisan vote to drive our country further into debt
This is what we need to keep hammering home. Republicans always talk about being fiscally conservative, but this is anything but.
