Daily Dems Doing the Work, Making Noise and Fighting Back Day 184
Today is my first time ever with a win from Rep Frank Mrvan (IN-01 and that is 100% because I wasn’t following him on IG, which, just goes to show, unless you follow them, you’re not gonna know they’re a fighter.
Repping the Rep: Sylvia Garcia (TX-29)
Wrote a statement against DT’s new threats to DACA. Every day, he seems to get more and more cruel.
Rep Frank Mrvan (IN-01)
Held a roundtable with healthcare workers in his district against the current effects of TrumpCare. He started in politics as the town trustee for North Township Indiana, and that is exactly the energy he brought to this roundtable. This is great visual of why local elections matter.

Sen Ron Wyden (OR)
Shared a massive win for Oregonians. Other states cannot use Oregon license plate camera data, which makes those seeking reproductive care and those who are immigrants a whole lot safer. Way to go, Wyden!

Sen Raphael Warnock (GA)
Led all or almost all (the press release is slightly confusing) Senate Democrats in introducing the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act in the Senate. This follows the House version, which has 216 cosponsors.
And watch the full press conference below!

And finally, because it is 9:14 PM
Sen Andy Kim (NJ)
Posted a video of what the Senate is doing this week. He talks about the TrumpTariff self-imposed deadline, the CR vote that is fast approaching again, and the hearing for the ROAD to Housing Act, which, following this video, passed UNANIMOUSLY out of committee.

So I hope you’re OK that today’s post has a few less fighters because it is so late but I needed to get something out.
If you made it to the end of this post, comment with 🍽️ ( a plate) because they don’t have a license plate emoji for some reason.
And if you watched or read any of these stories, comment with 🏘️ ( a town) because Mrvan’s pride in having been Township treasurer makes me love local elections even more.
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!
