Daily Dems Doing the Work, Making Noise and Fighting Back Day 207
Daily Dems Doing the Work, Making Noise and Fighting Back Day 207
It’s hard to know what our Dems are doing when the tech giants suppress all of their work.
As I was finding these stories for today, I noticed that most of these posts had less than 100 views. And you can’t tell me that’s because they weren’t interesting enough.
So here are some of my favorites of today!
Repping the Rep: Luz Rivas (CA-29)
Was able to help her constituent through the immigration process. He can now continue to work in LA.
I think there’s this idea that safe and legal immigration is a thing of a past, but it’s not, and that’s in very large part because of our Democratic members of congress. They’re helping make sure the process is safe for those who reach out. And that matters a lot right now.
DNC ( )
Made today’s Daily Blueprint all about how farmers are affected by the TrumpTax law.
It starts with an op-ed they found by a farmer named Andrew Tait. I love that they’ve been looking for real stories, not just statistics and polling data.
I found this episode really compelling, and so did the other 200 viewers. But I want to hear from you. Why don’t you watch The Daily Blueprint. I mean, Daily Dems gets about 3k views a post, so why has that not translated to views for the DNC’s series.
Everyone complained that there wasn’t daily messaging, well, it’s here, and it’s been here for well over a month, so why isn’t it worth celebrating?
I’ll admit, it’s not very well publicized. They post it on Slack every day and on their Substack, though they often get behind on that. I want them to post it on other platforms too, but the fact that it’s live on YouTube every weekday at 10am eastern should be enough for it to get some kind of traction.
What am I, what are they missing? Comment and let me know.
Rep Emanuel Cleaver (MO-05)
Is furious about the cost of living in America and how Trump is making it even worse. He explains how in this video for Dems Cost of Living Week of Action.
It’s another moment of messaging unity. Throughout the week each of our Dems have made at least one piece of content on the increasing cost of living.
But the fact that I didn’t know about that till today tells you just how far the tech companies are going to suppressing Dem content. I mean, if I didn’t see it, how could anyone else?

Rep Dave Min (CA-47)
Explains why your electric bill has already started rising, even though most parts of the Ugly TrumpTax Law don’t go into affect till early next year.
What I like the the most about this video is that he also names the other reasons costs are going up. A common gottcha is “but it was happening anyway for x,y, and z.” So I’m glad he combats that before those comments even start.

Rep Jennifer McClellan (VA-04)
Joined several Virginia conservation groups to raise the alarm about the Virginia Solar For All program funds being frozen. A program I didn’t even know existed.
It’s a reminder that there has been a very successful effort not to promote when Dems do the work, so it’s easy to say that when Dems are in power, nothing changes.

And finally…
(MA) and (MA-07)
Took the Fare Free bus to Ruggles Station in Boston for a press conference on their “Freedom to Move Act.”
They first introduced it in 2020, and that year it passed the House. When it does eventually become law, there would be free public transit across the country. In a statement, Rep Pressley said:
Fare free transit is an economic, racial, and climate justice issue, and it’s high time we invest in public transit as the public good that it is. Making our transit infrastructure fare free will help folks access essential resources like jobs, school, child care, the grocery store, and the hospital while reducing greenhouse gas emissions and making our communities more connected.
It sounds like Boston has been a pretty good test case for proving this.

So I hope this really solidified that our Dems are fighting and every day people are actively trying to convince you otherwise, so it’s up to us to make sure these stories spread.
If you made it to the end of this post comment, 🚍 (bus), because free fare is so needed.
And if you watched or read any of these stories comment, ☀️(sun) because if I didn’t know about Solar for All (existing at all, not just in Virginia), you probably didn’t either.
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!
