I wasn't aware that there were folks that didn't know about WIC (Women, Infants and Children) program. It's a great public program that should be continually renewed. Thanks Ariella for providing perspective and offering these small moments of hope.

I believe you are a fraud. I'd followed you because I thought you were on the right side, doing something valuable, and you had so few followers I felt I should be loyal.

But you are a fraud, aren't you?

"Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them."

I am using my voice.

Truly I do not understand this comment.

I am communicating to you because I believe you can communicate with others. And I believe in what you do, and I believe that others who read you might be inspired by what I am thinking. Yes, I am leading. Do you get to decide who is leading? How come?

Otherwise I would be sitting on my couch not reaching out to someone who might be able to galvanize things. If I did not, I would be a coward.

There are some things, I believe, that a majority of Americans believe. They are really very fundamental, and they are really not in dispute (not even, I suspect, with most MAGA folk).

Like the right to vote.

The right to be an individual and hold individual opinions.

The right to due process.

We need to hear those things urgently right now. They are not divisive nor are they in dispute. We are not hearing them.

I'm being a leader by writing to you right now. People need to understand what is at stake. Now is the time to march peacefully in the street. Now, not later. Not October 18. I am not in a position to organize something like that. I am writing to you because I think perhaps you are.

Telling me that someone else needs to do something is not being leader

I am saying we need a common voice right now. If they spoke at once they would not be torn down. What do you think is the worst that would happen if they spoke at once. We cannot be afraid! I am not waiting for anyone to tell me what to do, but I am not a prominent politician. I am saying we need very strong leadership right now on an emergent basis.

Whenever Democrats do you speak with one voice people complain that it’s not the voice they wanted to hear and we don’t have enough time to only talk about one thing. There is too much awful going on that is different for each area. Different districts have different needs and different fears and different worries.

If everyone was talking about federal employees that wouldn’t resonate everywhere, but it certainly resonates in James walkinShaw’s district
