Daily Dems Day 153 AND Three Wins June 28, 2025
It’s Saturday, so it’s my day off, but it also happens to be my birthday!
So I am even more not here than I usually am on a Saturday. I know it’s the worst Saturday for this but I trust my fellow political influencers to put out amazing and informative content today. (Though knowing me, I won’t be able to stay away all day.)

Happy bday! After months of negotiating, the AZ house passed their budget bill - the house is controlled by the GOP but AZ Dems negotiated a lot and managed to curtail any money going to Trump’s deportation schemes. All of Arizona’s 22 Tribal nations also supported the bill.
Congresswoman Sarah McBride (D-DE): “This week, I went to the House floor to speak for the rural hospitals that are holding Delaware communities together—and the 40,000 Delawareans who could lose coverage if this budget passes.
“When you gut Medicaid, you don’t just lose a line item. You lose maternity wards, cancer clinics, and mental health care. You force working people to delay care, skip appointments, and show up at the ER facing crushing medical debt.
“I said it plainly: this budget is heartless. And it puts our neighbors’ lives on the line.”
